Arriving by car from Hamburg/ Rostock ( north-west )
Once you pass Dreieck Oranienburg ( crossroad motorway ) you travel on the 111 towards Berlin. Go pass the airport Tegel on the motorway and take the next exit (Jacob - Kaiser Platz) On the round about keep on the left and look for the sign Wedding. You are again on the motorway NR 110 towards north. The next exit is Beusselstrasse ( the motorway is coming to and end ). Turn on top of the bridge to the right, go over the bridge always straight on as you are on Beusselstrasse to the very end. Turn left and you are on the road, where our hotel is. After 2 km being on the road Alt - Moabit, you will find the Hotel Tiergarten. Park at the second line and asked the reception where to park the car.
Arriving by car from Hannover/München/Nürnberg ( from the west and south )
Coming towards Berlin either on the E 30 or E 49/51 you drive towards Dreieck Drewitz which leads onto M 115 towards Berlin Zentrum/Zehlendorf ( centre ). Once you are getting into Berlin follow the sign Airport Tegel on the motorway toward North, stay on the motorway do not go toward Airport Tegel. The next exit is Beusselstrasse ( motorway is coming to and end ), take this exit and follow the information above.
Arriving by car from Frankfurt/Oder or Dresden ( from the east ).
Coming towards Berlin on the motorway 12 or 13 this motorway will merge into no. 10 go on towards Potsdam. At Dreieck ( crossroad ) Drewitz follow the sign Berlin Zentrum/Zehlendorf onto no. 115. See information like coming from Hannover!
Arriving by train at Zoologischer Garten
Take the underground U 9 towards Osloer Strasse“. Jump in at the end of the train. Two stops later (4 minutes ) you are at the undergroundstation U-Turmstrasse. Take the exit Alt - Moabit (not Turmstrasse at the end of the train go up the stairs and turn the right at the road. Across the next big cross road the third house is Hotel Tiergarten at no. 89. Walking distance 3 min. This journey cost ( EUR 2.50 , and is called short journey ticket) Taxi about EUR 12,-.
Arriving by train at Ostbahnhof (former Hauptbahnhof)
Take any S - Bahn which takes you to Zoologischer Garten“ ( No. S 5, S 7, S 9, S 75 ). At Zoologischer Garten“ you take the U - Bahn No 9 towards Osloer Strasse. See information before. If you like to take a bus, there is a direct line No 340 towards Mierendorfplatz, which goes all the way toward U Turmstrasse and takes 40 min. The price is EUR 3.90 each person going with public transportation. Taxi fair are appro. EUR 25,-.
Arriving by train at Lichtenberg Any S-Bahn which goes towards Zoologischer Garten, chance into the underground U 9 towards Osloer Strasse. See information above.
Ariving at the Airport Tegel
Take bus TXL, which goes directly to us , get off at Stop U-Turmstr. or bus No 109 or X 9 towards Zoologischer Garten. Then change onto the underground U 9 towards Osloer Strasse. See information above. By taxi it takes depending on traffic appro. 15 min. Cost EUR 22,- to EUR 25,-
Arriving at the Airport Tempelhof
In front of the airport is the underground station Tempelhof, line U 6 . Take the direction Alt-Tegel, change at Leopoldplatz onto line U 9 towards Rathaus Steglitz until the Stop Turmstrasse. See above the further information. Public transport costs again EUR 3,90 and it will take approx. 45 min., by taxi around EUR 30,00 and ½ h journey (depends on traffic).
Arriving at the Airport Schönefeld
Take the S-Bahn (overground) line S 45 direction Westend until the stop Bundesplatz. Change into the U-Bahn (underground) U 9 towards Osloer Strasse, stop at Turmstrasse, exit Alt-Moabit. See above for information. Taxis are expensive (EUR 60.00), by public transport again only EUR 3,90 but it'll take 1 hour!
