Quick description
The popular and modern Heart of Gold Hostel is located near to the new central train station Hauptbahnhof and was only recently opened in 2003.
We welcome backpackers and tourists, and our staff will be happy to give information and advice on the exciting city. Come and meet fellow travellers, chill out in our bar and enjoy our breakfast served until 12:00. Relax on the comfortable sofas and take advantage of our little library. Travel information
From the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station):
- Take any S-bahn (city rail) train going East
- Exit at the next stop, Friedrichstrasse
- Turn left and walk northwards, crossing over the River Spree
- On the other side of the bridge, take the second road on the right (Johannisstrasse)
- Walk for a further 150 metres and you will find the hotel on the left-hand side
From Sch?eld Airport:
- Take the S-bahn (city rail) train to Friedrichstrasse, and then see above
From Tegel Airport:
- Take bus 128 to the underground stop Kurt-Schumacher-Platz
- Take the U6 train towards Alt-Mariendorf and get out at Oranienburger Tor
- Walk in the same direction you have been travelling in and take the first road on the left (Johannisstrasse)
- Walk for a further 150 metres and you will find the hotel on the left-hand side
